8th Annual Small Works Show
December 6, 2012 - January 6, 2013 Deadline for submissions: Saturday, November 3, 2012 440 Gallery is hosting its popular, annual small works show. This juried exhibition will feature any artwork which is small in scale, but large in impact. The exhibition will run from Thursday, December 6, 2012 through Sunday, January 6, 2013. Jurors The jurors for this year's Small Works Show are Michelle Segre and Steve DiBenedetto. Both are well-established New York City artists with extensive experiences in exhibiting their work, as well as in teaching. Segre is a sculptor who has exhibited her work widely since the mid-1990's. DiBenedetto is a painter who has been showing his work in the United States and Europe since the mid-1980's. (See below for More on our Jurors.) Eligibility: All artists who currently reside or work in the USA are eligible to apply. Requirements: Work must be no more than 12" in any direction including the framing or mounting, or video monitors. This will be strictly enforced. There is no theme, but we welcome all media including painting, drawing, sculpture, collage, printmaking, photography, assemblage, video. Work must be ready to hang. Sculpture must be provided with shelf and anchoring for secure wall mounting. Wall mounted monitors must be provided for videos. Fees: The entry fee of $30 will cover the submission of up to three (3) works of art. If more than three works are submitted, only the first three will be considered. The preferred payment is through PayPal or by credit card at the gallery. Money orders should be made payable to "440 Gallery Ltd" and mailed to: 440 Gallery, 440 Sixth Avenue, Brooklyn, NY11215.
