Calls for Entry Current and upcoming calls for entry. Typically 35-40 images are selected to hang in the gallery. A note about our jurors and curators. Yes, we want to hang your work in the gallery and hopefully sell it to a collector. But juried shows are also about exposure. We work with the leaders in contemporary photography, the respected gallerists, publishers and photographers whom you want viewing your images. These are the individuals that can further your career. Move you from an enthusiast to becoming a photographer, from an emerging to a mid career artist. On deck for the next round of shows are Aline Smithson, Josephine Sacabo, Eddie Soloway, Kevin Messina, Michelle Dunn Marsh and more. ©S Silks ©S Silks Alternative Processes The SE Center is looking for all forms of Alternative and Antique processes, albumen to ziatype, photographers of all skill levels and locations are welcome. Digital source images are acceptable if converted to negatives and processed in a historical technique and digital reproduction of alternative technique works, either for further processing or presentation, is acceptable. Our juror for Alternative Processes is Jill Enfield. Jill Enfield is a fine art photographer, author and educator and a leading authority in Alternative Photographic Processes. In addition to expertise in current standard digital photo techniques for the last 10+ years, Enfield is also known for her instruction of hand coloring, wet plate collodion, and an array of other photo processes at Parsons The New School for Design, Fashion Institute of Photography, New York University, Long Island University, Brooklyn Campus, and the International Center of Photography in New York City as well as RISD. As for her own photographs, Enfield’s work is in the permanent collections of The Amon Carter Museum of Art, Bellagio Hotel, Bibliothque Nationale, The Boca Raton Museum of Art, Canyon Ranch Spa and Resort, The Crocker Art Museum, The Florida Senate, Hilton Hotels, Marriott Hotels, Southeastern Banks, The Toledo Museum of Art. As for exhibitions, Enfield has been the subject of dozens of solo exhibits over the years, in galleries and museums around the world. Her work is also included in hundreds of group exhibitions. 35-40 Selected images will hang in the SE Center’s main gallery space for approximately one month with the opportunity to be invited for a solo show at a later date.
