Praxis Gallery seeks photographic works that demonstrate the elemental qualities that make black and white & monochromatic photography an enduring, contemporary art form.
All genres and all capture types, black & white and monochromatic, non-traditional and traditional photographic and digital post-production processes are welcome for submission.

Artist-in-Residence: Italy

23-days residency opportunity open to photographers all over the globe, with no age restriction, born through a collaboration between Ardesia ProjectsJest and Witty Kiwi.
Five national and international artists, will be selected and invited to create new bodies of work on the territory surrounding the lake of Varese alongside the editor Tommaso Parrillo (Witty Kiwi) and curator Benedetta Casagrande (Ardesia). The selected artists will be accommodated in Cascina Ronco (Daverio, VA), a farmhouse in the woods surrounding the lake, where they will be provided with the adequate materials to develop  their projects. The residency will result in an exhibition atJest and in a small editorial publication.

Moving by yourself

I know I leaned more towards Seattle in my paper/presentation, but I think this article is really helpful as far as trying to keep your mind set in reality when planning out moving to a new state alone. This quarter is wrapping up and for most of us that means we're really close to leaving the college/familiar setting.
