Set In Motion
Pockets of time that become irreplaceable, we do our best to preserve that instance of change through photography. We can visualize motion in new ways by manipulating the speed of the shutter. Our eye can suddenly see a droplet of water suspended in time or a bullet slicing through an apple. Long shutter speeds capture the distorted blur of a waterfall or even drawing with light at night. Taking it slow or speeding it up, the shutter speed is up to you. Motion Photography, any and all methods of capture and process are welcome.
Fee: $20.00 (SET IN MOTION)
Entry Deadline: 1/20/17
First Place $500, Second Place $200, Third Place $100.

This is an example book from M.F.A. alumna Sara Field. It is a lovely example of a leave behind or gift. She has a quote below with the company she purchased the book.
"I had that book printed through a website called Artisan State, but it looks like they've changed their name to Zno. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and I found the process to be fairly simple, which was nice. When I was looking into them, they offered a 10% or 15% discount and it seems like they do that pretty frequently. Here's a link to their website: http://www.zno.com/"

deFine Art-Photography Showcase 2017, Deadline January 24
Current SCAD Savannah students in photography are invited to submit works for consideration in the annual deFINE Art student showcase. Taking place on the second floor of Alexander Hall, the show will be juried by members of the SCAD Exhibitions staff and photography faculty members. There are no restrictions on size or number of works submitted.
All work must be for sale.
Submissions are due by midnight, January 24.
The Jury will review submission and make notifications by the end of the day on January 27.
Drop off for accepted work (framed and ready to hang) at Bergen Hall by the end of the day on Feb 10.
Multiple entries require multiple submission forms.
Example: An artist submitting 5 artworks will have to go through the online submission process 5 times.
Unless clarification or edits are requested by SCAD Exhibitions, the information entered on this submission must be the final information for wall labels and loan forms.
If an artist's work is accepted, they will receive a consignment form and new vendor paperwork via email.
All accepted works must be delivered ready to hang/install. Works on paper (including drawings, photo and printmaking) must be framed. Paintings on canvas or panel must have hanging hardware and/or wire. SCAD Exhibitions will attempt to provide pedestals for sculptures when needed.
